My daddy was a truck driver. He died 2 months before I turned eight. Most of my memories of him involve traveling and swimming. The good memories, anyway. I don't know if his wanderlust genes were passed down to me or if it is my own personal drive that makes me love going everywhere. Maybe it's a little bit of both.
Either way, I love to travel. It doesn't have to be far, sometimes I book a room at a local hotel. All of this to say:
One of my #Before50Goals was to stay at an Airbnb. It seemed like a silly goal to have but it was something I wanted to do and hadn't done yet. The Fairy Tale Cottage wasn't my first Airbnb stay, but it has been one of my favorites. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we got very little filming done.
Fairy tales were once used as cautionary tales to protect children. Little Red Riding Hood is all about some stranger danger. The Boy Who Cried Wolf reminds us that when you lie folks tend to not believe you. And it can be fatal.
You get the idea.
I love fairy tales, magic, talking animals, chaos, and order. So when I was looking for a fun getaway and The Fairy Tale Cottage popped up, I was all in. The video below provides mostly a walkthrough. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend a stay.
